This study examined climate smart agriculture and food security among rural farmers in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. Specifically, it assessed the extent of adoption of climatesmart agricultural practices and examined their influence on household food security. A mixed-methods descriptive survey design was adopted. Data were collected from 372 rural farming households using structured questionnaires, while Key Informant Interviews were conducted with agricultural extension officers and community leaders. Secondary data were obtained from relevant journal articles, government publications, and reports. Quantitative data were analyzed using frequency tables and percentages and presented with bar charts, while qualitative data were transcribed, interpreted, and integrated with the quantitative findings. The study found that climate-smart agricultural practices significantly enhanced household food security, with 86% of the respondents indicating that the practices strengthened their resilience to climate change, while 85% reported improved household food availability. The study concludes that climate-smart agriculture is an effective approach for improving the livelihoods and food security of rural farming households in Nasarawa State. The study recommends that the Nasarawa State Agricultural Development Programme (NADP), in collaboration with the State Ministry of Agriculture and agricultural extension agencies, should strengthen extension services by providing regular farmer training, climate information, and access to climate-smart agricultural technologies to promote wider adoption and enhance household food security.","气候变化持续威胁农业生产力和家庭粮食安全，尤其是依赖雨养农业的农村农民。 ,null,"International Journal of Modern Science and Research Technology","2026-09-20T00:00:00Z","论文",10,false,56
"W7213778728",[41,43,45
ABDULLAHI YUSUF AGWAI
Falalu Mohommed Mohammmed
A. Yet awareness of CSA does not necessarily translate into actual implementation, particularly where farmers face financial, technical and institutional constraints. This study examined the roles of climate experience, agricultural information and socioeconomic characteristics in CSA adoption among smallholder farmers in southwestern Nigeria. Primary data were obtained through a structured cross-sectional survey of 190 farmers in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State. Descriptive statistics were used to characterise respondents and examine CSA awareness, agricultural information, experience of weather variability, willingness to adopt, reported adoption and perceived constraints. Because the adoption outcome was highly imbalanced, Firth-penalised logistic regression was used to identify factors independently associated with actual CSA adoption. The results show that 98.4% of respondents were aware of CSA and 96.3% reported experiencing changes in weather conditions. Although 96.3% expressed willingness to adopt CSA, 88.4% reported actual use, indicating an intention–implementation gap. Water-conservation technologies received the highest proportion of “very important” responses (83.7%), followed by organic manure (80.5%), drought-resistant crops (80.0%) and crop rotation (79.5%). Government extension officers were the principal reported source of agricultural information (55.3%). Implementation cost was the leading constraint (54.7%), followed by uncertainty about effectiveness (25.8%) and difficulty learning new techniques (19.5%). In the Firth model, experience of changing weather conditions was the only statistically significant predictor of adoption (OR = 10.401, 95% CI: 3.118–34.694, p < 0.001). Gender, education, farm size and extension information were not statistically significant. The findings indicate that CSA adoption in the study area is not adequately explained by awareness alone. Farmers’ direct experience of climatic variability appears to be an important stimulus for adaptation, while financial and technical constraints can restrict implementation. Climate adaptation policies should therefore move beyond general awareness creation towards practical extension, affordable inputs, locally relevant climate information and resource-supported implementation.","气候智慧型农业（climate-smart agriculture, CSA）日益被视为增强小农户耕作系统对气候变异性适应能力的手段。 ,"Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)","2026-09-18T00:00:00Z",25,65
"W7213578578",[87,89,91,93,95,97
Folasade J. This study examines determinants of adoption of selected CSA practices and their effects on maize productivity, farm income, food expenditure share, and dietary diversity among 510 smallholder households in Kasungu District, central Malawi. Using 2023 cross-sectional survey data, we employ a multinomial endogenous switching regression model to address potential selection bias across eight mutually exclusive adoption options based on three CSA practices. Gender of the household head, extension participation, and cooperative membership are significantly associated with adoption, with female-headed households more likely to adopt multiple-practice combinations. Average treatment effect on the treated (ATT) estimates indicate significant maize-yield and farm-income gains for certain options relative to the estimated non-adoption counterfactual. However, no practice option shows a statistically significant ATT estimate for dietary diversity measured by the Food Consumption Score, indicating a disconnect between estimated farm-income gains and dietary outcomes. The findings suggest that CSA may support productivity and income, but complementary nutrition-sensitive interventions may be needed to achieve multidimensional food security.","气候智能型农业（CSA）被广泛推广以在日益加剧的气候风险下改善小农户生计，然而关于其超越生产力层面影响（尤其是多维粮食安全）的证据仍然有限。
,[229,230,233
"Cogent Food & Agriculture","https://doi.org/10.1080/23311932.2026.2725385
"W7210263968",[244,246,248
Jinwon Suh
Seongtae Ji
Tabitha C. Despite its potential to improve resilience and productivity, the adoption of CSAremains constrained by inadequate institutional support. Specifically, the study identified the major CSApractices adopted, assessed farmers' access to institutional support services, determined the socioeconomic and institutional factors influencing CSA adoption, and evaluated farmers' perceptions of the effect of institutional support on the sustainability of CSA adoption. A cross-sectional survey design was employed, and primary data were collected from 100 smallholder farmers selected through a multistage sampling technique using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, binary logistic regression, and a five-point Likert scale. The results showed that improved crop varieties (88%), crop rotation (84%), and organic manure application (81%) were the most widely adopted CSA practices. Farmers had moderate access to institutional support (Grand Mean = 3.17). Education, farm size, farming experience, extension contact, access to agricultural credit, cooperative membership, farmer training, and policy awareness significantly influenced CSAadoption (Pseudo R² = 0.389; p < 0.05). Farmers also perceived institutional support as having a strong positive effect on sustaining CSA adoption (Grand Mean = 4.22). The study concludes that strengthening institutional support will enhance CSA adoption among smallholder farmers. It recommends improving extension services, farmer training, access to affordable credit, cooperative development, and climate information delivery.","气候变化持续降低尼日利亚农业生产率，并加剧了小农户的脆弱性，使得采纳气候智能型农业（Climate-Smart Agriculture, CSA）日益重要。 ,"AFRICAN JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURE AND ALLIED SCIENCES","2026-09-04T00:00:00Z",48
"W7208732914",[281,283,285,287
Luka,, P.
Yeba,, N.A .
R.
